The phone will sport Android 4.1 when it launches at AT&T, and will be powered by a quad-core, 1.6GHz processor. It houses an S Pen stylus for tablet-like operation on the Super AMOLED touchscreen.
The carrier also touts it's the only one that will continue to offer the original Galaxy Note for $200 with a two-year contract.
Meantime, Sprint will begin offering the Galaxy Note II on October 25, becoming the first US carrier to offer it. Others will also begin offering it sometime in November.
