PadFone 2 retail pricing leaks, unconfirmed

Pricing information on Asus' PadFone 2 smartphone-tablet hybrid has leaked thanks to two Swedish Asus-recommended resellers. The PadFone 2 will retail in Sweden for 6,000 kronors for a 64GB model without tablet dock. A 32GB version with tablet dock will retail for 7,000 kr, and a 64GB model with tablet dock will sell for 8,000 kr. While Asus has not yet released official pricing for the device, today's pricing leak would seem accurate, given the reseller's Asus-recommended status.

The PadFone 2 was previously expected to retail between $620 and $750 on its own, but the retailers' pricing puts the device around the $900 mark. The PadFone 2 has a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, and a 1280x720 Super IPS+ display protected by Corning Fit Glass. It also sports a 13MP rear-facing camera capable of recording in 1080p HD video at 30fps or 720p HD video at 60fps.

The device is expected to launch in Europe and Asia some time in December, but no North American launch window has yet been specified.
