Two sizes of eco-friendly displays available at launch

BenQ America today introduced its latest monitor line -- the VW30 Series of vertical alignment (VA) LED monitors. The VW30s will connect to any MacBook through an M-book mode, recreating authentic MacBook picture quality, gamma, and whitepoint on either the 21.5-inch or 24-inch displays. Additionally, a new Reading Mode is implemented, giving the monitors automatic adjustments to simulate the warmth of reading paper.

The VW30 Series offers full 1080p HD, a contrast ratio of 5000:1, and a 178-degree viewing angle. LED backlighting technology cuts power consumption by up to half when compared to previous generations of monitors. The Eco Mode regulates backlight brightness automatically to the highest lighting quality and energy efficiency. The all-white monitors feature a mercury-free LED display, BFR/PVC-free casing plastics, and eco-friendly ink on its packaging to keep workspaces free from harmful chemicals. Input is provided by HDMI 1.4, DVI-D, and VGA connections.

The VW2230H and VW2430H are now available in the United States at MSRPs of $179 and $249, respectively.
