3DS owners in Japan will soon be able to stream, buy music from consoles
Owners of the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming system in Japan will soon get access to a music streaming and download site, Recochoku. It's optimized for mobile devices and allows users to find ringtones and complete tracks for a price. The library is comprised of more than one million titles, each priced at about 250 yen (just over $3).
Any songs bought on the 3DS can be transferred to any compatible smartphones, with Sony's own Xperias supporting this feature.
The news came from a Nintendo Direct broadcast, which also revealed that Dragon Quest X will arrive for the Wii U in Japan in the spring of 2013. [via Engadget]
