Galaxy Note II $300 on two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is now officially up for pre-order with both AT&T and Verizon. The latest genre-bending 5.5-inch ‘phablet’ can be had for $300 on a two-year contract with both carriers. AT&T customers who pre-order now can expect receive their order by November 6, while Verizon customers will have to hold out to November 27.

The Galaxy Note II builds on the specifications of the 10 million plus selling Galaxy Note by increasing its screen size and resolution. The original 5.3-inch display gets bumped up to a 1280x720 pixel resolution on a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It runs an Exynos 4412 quad-core ARM Cortex A-9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with a Mali-400MP GPU.

It will ship out of the box with Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ onboard and comes with an improved S Pen stylus and an updated range of S Pen-capable apps pre-installed. The Galaxy Note II also supports LTE 4G networks, making it a comprehensive upgrade over the original model.
