Sceptre launches 32-inch HDTV with integrated DVD player, USB drive

Sceptre this week unveiled a new addition to its display lineup with the 32-inch E325BD-HD. It offers 31.5 inches of viewable area and has 1,366x768 resolution, along with a slot-loading side DVD player that's hard to find nowadays. The set is under two inches thick and weights about 20lbs with the stand.

The HDTV has three HDMI ports, one component, one composite, and one VGA input, and it's Energy Star V5.3-compliant. It has two built-in speakers, each rated at 10W. A USB port lets users play audio and view JPEG images.

Detail specs include a 6.5ms refresh rate, 450cd/m2 brightness, and a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The viewing angles are 178 degrees from any direction.

The set is now on sale at retail stores, priced at $600.

A [s]32 inch[/s] 31.5 inch with built-in DVD player. Um, yes. And you can upgrade it with an external VHS player via the composite input.

    Wouldn't their latest 4K TV with built-in Blu-Ray be a more suitable product? I haven't bought a DVD in a long time.
