iPhone case slated for November

FreedomPop has launched the Freedom Sleeve Rocket, a promised case for the iPod touch. The accessory costs $99, but opens access to FreedomPop's 4G services, which run on Clearwire's WiMAX network. The first 500MB of data is free, but costs go up to $10 per GB after that threshold. The current case also only works with third- and fourth-generation Touches.

It's not clear when FreedomPop might ship a case for the fifth-generation Touch. An iPhone case is expected sometime in November though, and earlier this month the company began giving out hotspots and USB dongles for free after a deposit. FreedomPop's profits should come almost entirely from service fees, since 500MB can be consumed extremely quickly over 4G.

Wow, that has to be one of the ugliest cases I've ever seen! Cool concept though.
