Officejet Pro line targets small work team printing

HP today unveiled new additions to both its Officejet Pro and LaserJet lines of printers, targeting small and medium-sized businesses and other enterprise-class customers. The new Officejet Pro X series of desktop printers and multifunction printers produce content at up to twice the speed of their competitors and lower the cost of printing. Powered by HP's PageWide Technology, the Officejet Pro X series is capable of printing high-quality documents at up to 70 pages per minute.

The OfficeJet Pro X comes in 400 and 500 color printer lines. The MFP series is capable of printing, scanning, copying, and faxing documents. Both feature 500 sheet trays and are capable of automatic two-sided printing in order to save paper. They feature walk-up printing capability, allowing users to print right away from a USB port, as well as the ability to print wirelessly from a tablet or smartphone using HP ePrint.

The LaserJet Enterprise flow MPF M525c and LaserJet Enterprise color flow MFP M575c offer higher-performance document processing and sharing. They can be integrated with content management solutions based on Autonomy's software, allowing customers to access and organize information in documents, audio, video, email, and web pages.

The HP Flow CM Professional allows business teams to access security features in order to protect their documents, and it features a cloud-based component allowing users to capture, index, store, search, and retrieve documents. The Flow CM Enterprise contains a set of enterprise content management offerings, allowing large organizations to give access to information across a range of employees. Users can automate processes using the feature in order to reduce operating costs and improve productivity.

The LaserJet line comes in three models. the Enterprise 500 color MFP M575dn is currently available for $2299, while the M575c and M775dn are listed as coming soon. Those models will retail for $3199 and $4299, respectively.

The HP Officejet Pro X line, both the Pro X and the Pro X MFP, will be available in the Spring of 2013.
