Training available for professional-level DJ peripheral

Keith McMillen Instruments today formally announced the retail release of QuNeo, a new tablet-sized multi-touch controller that replaces three pieces of popular DJ gear. The device is intended to take the place of the mixer, turntable, and music player device traditionally associated with the DJ booth.

The design resembles a keypad, where multi-touch pads in various shapes replace keys, sliders and knobs, while multi-color neon LED backlighting provides visual feedback. Even though QuNeo is plug and play, some time learning the device, along with a working knowledge of selected music software, is necessary for full device functionality.

QuNeo serves as a gateway for learning most popular free and paid music software. Compatible free software includes: QuNeo Editor, MIXXX and Automat. Compatible paid programs include: Ableton Live, Apple Logic, Traktor, Seratto, Battery, BeatMaker for iPad, and Korg iMS-20 for iPad.

QuNeo is PC, Mac and iPad compatible, and works with USB, MIDI or OSC. The QuNeo is available now at a retail price of $250.
