Synonym grouping to help word choice

Google has updated its Translate service to make choosing the correct translated word easier. Following feedback from users checking the tool's accuracy, reverse translations will let users see a translated word re-translated back to their native language, complete with annotations for the most frequently-used translations.

Frequency indicators will show how often a particular translation is used, with the most used at the top. Synonyms will be grouped together into clusters, making it easier to choose from a number of words with a similar meaning.

While the update is live for the web version, it has yet to transition to the iOS and Android app versions of Google Translate.
