Drift HD Ghost features two-way LED remote

Drift Innovation announced today the launch of a new action camera with an array of features aimed at improving ease of use, the Drift HD Ghost. The Drift HD Ghost features a wearable on/off remote control with built-in LEDs and Wi-Fi connectivity. It also has continuous loop video recording and an integrated 2-inch Gorilla Glass LCD screen for instant playback and sharing.

The LED lights on the remote show whether the device is on or off, and users can easily switch modes on the device with the press of a button. The Drift HD Ghost is also capable of streaming footage to Wi-Fi compatible devices up to 30 feet away, allowing for steady recording of content without the need for continually swapping out memory cards.

The 2-inch screen on the Drift HD Ghost is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass, ensuring that it will be able to endure rugged conditions. The device will pair with the Drift Mobile App -- coming soon for iOS and Android -- to preview and line up shots remotely from a phone and to change camera settings, shot recording, and photo capture from a mobile device. Inside, the Drift HD Ghost has a 1700mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery providing up to three hours of recording time per charge.

The Drift HD Ghost is available for $399 at Drift's store and at B&H Photo.
