QuickTime for Windows security patch
Apple has released a new security update for the Windows version of QuickTime. The update resolves several issues that could lead to an unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution when viewing a maliciously crafted PICT file, website, TeXML file, or Targa file. The updated version of QuickTime can be downloaded from Apple's website.
LaCie outs new key-shaped USB drives
The PetiteKey, an updated version of LaCie's iamaKey, has been released. The small thumb drive features a key-like design, including a keychain hole for storing the drive on any standard keyring. The drive also comes bundled with Private-Public, which allows all data on the drive to be encrypted and password protected. Three storage options, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB, can be ordered online starting at $15.
