Velocity Micro introduces customizable Vector Holiday Edition PC

Custom PC maker Velocity Micro just introduced its latest desktop, the Vector Holiday Edition. Named so because of its release in time for the Christmas holidays, the PC's pricing starts at $599. It uses an aluminum chassis, 3.6GHz AMD A6-5400K dual-core processor, and 8GB of RAM.

The 1TB hard drive is preloaded with a choice of either Windows 7 or Windows 8. The PC can be purchased now, with options that include faster, quad-core AMD processors, more RAM, dedicated graphics cards from AMD or NVIDIA, a TV tuner, Blu-ray drive, and more storage space via a larger hard drive or smaller but faster SSDs, among others. All include one year of warranty and a lifetime of phone support.

At the same time, the outfit introduced the VMultra Drive accessory that combines a DVD±RW drive, USB 3.0 hub, SD memory card slot, and a 500GB hard drive. It arrives in stores on November 12, priced at $200.
