Date of additional content launch matches Nexus 10 release

Google is expanding the number of markets that can use Google Play Movies and Music. Launched last month in the US for Google TV devices, the same service will be available on supported set-top boxes in the UK, France and Germany from November 13th onwards. An earlier post by the company claimed that it would also take place in Canada and Australia, but this has since been corrected.

While the service has been confirmed to launch on that date, it isn't clear what content will be available at the time. Android smartphones and tablets also do not have access to the Movies and Music tabs in some of the countries, which suggests that they may also receive the new content in a future update update.

The chosen date for the update, the 13th of November, is also the same day that the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 4 smartphone will be available for purchase. The Google Play store in the UK shows a message confirming the date, though the Nexus 7 with cellular access is still labeled as "Coming Soon."
