Google providing price protection, Asus offers store vouchers

Google and Asus are distributing vouchers and refunds to Nexus 7 owners burned by the recent price drop. Buyers in the US that ordered the 16GB version of the tablet after the 14th of October are eligible to request Price Protection from the search giant, with affected customers receiving a refund within two weeks.

Asus is also performing its own damage control, offering 16GB owners in the UK and Europe a voucher for 30 euro or £25 ($38), according to TabletGuide. Customers that purchased from Asus or Google directly before October 29th can apply up until the end of November, and will receive a voucher valid until the end of the year for the Asus store.
