New Chromebook was slated for October release

The rumored follow up to last year's Acer Chromebook appears to have shown up in images posted to the Internet. The new Chromebook was rumored to be slated for an October release, but the month past without its emergence. Today's image revelation brings little beyond the visual aspect of the device, though it is said to be called the AC710.

The device shown appears to closely follow in the design footsteps of Acer's Aspire V5-17. Its screen is attached to its base with two hinges, and it sports the standard chiclet keyboard layout.

The images were leaked by MiniMachines. The image leak, however, gives no details on a possible release date for the device.
