updated 06:36 pm EST, Wed November 14, 2012

Google+ now allows direct Android app installations

Google has added the ability to post direct links to Android apps in timelines on its Google+ social layer, allowing users to share favorite apps and games. Users can take advantage of the feature by pasting the URL of the app they wish to share. From there, Google+ will automatically embed the app and give viewers the option to install or buy the app.

Google Drive adds improved search, Google Earth, more

Google announced a few updates to its Google Drive cloud storage service today, giving users the option to search through their files by a person's name, view Google Earth files, and create new folders while organizing files. Google Drive users with the Chrome browser will also be able to take advantage of drag-and-drop capabilities on that browser.
