Kingston ships SSDNow V300 solid state drive series

SandForce SSD capable of 450MBps sequential write speed
Kingston has extended its SSDNow line to include the V300 line. Using 19nm NAND Flash, a SATA 6Gbps interface, and an LSI SandForce 2281 flash storage processor, similarly to the SSDNow V+200 launched at the start of the year, the V300 can reach sequential read and write speeds of up to 450MB per second. Kingston claim this to be ten times faster than a standard 7200RPM hard drive.
Available as a stand-alone drive or as part of an upgrade kit containing cloning software, the V300 can be acquired in 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB capacities, with a total bytes writeable for each of 32TB, 64TB, and 128TB respectively, and a claimed theoretical life expectancy of 1 million hours.
While Kingston has shipped the V300 drives, prices for the different versions remain unknown, even after checking various online retailers. Kingston SSD business manager Ariel Perez calls the drives the "best cost-efficient upgrade for users who want their existing systems to perform faster," suggesting a low or mid-range price.
