Canada gets carrier-independent Galaxy Camera

Galaxy Camera arrives in Canada December 7


Canadian retailers will begin selling Samsung's Galaxy Camera early this December. The Android and touchscreen-enabled camera will arrive in its 3G+Wi-Fi version, and purchasers of the device will be able to use it on any compatible carrier. The device will arrive on December 7, but Samsung has not yet revealed local pricing.

The Galaxy Camera runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 4.8-inch 1280x720 touchscreen. It features full compatibility with Android apps, allowing users to edit images as soon as they've taken them or share them through apps.

On the camera end, the Galaxy Camera features a 21x zoom lens and a 16M BSI CMOS sensor. Samsung has built in Smart Mode technology, with provides 15 default modes and settings to make taking professional-grade photographs easier.
