E Fun Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP gets Google Play store access

Maker of budget-priced and Android-powered tablets E Fun has just announced its latest product, the 7-inch Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP. It's the company's first to have access to the Google Play store (hence the GP suffix), letting users access hundreds of thousands of games and apps along with millions of e-books, songs, and movies. Hardware specs include a 1GHz Amlogic A9 processor paired with 1GB of RAM, while the capacitive touchscreen has 800x480 resolution.

Android 4.0 is preloaded onto the tablet, which can be had with either 4GB or 8GB of flash storage built-in. The low amount of onboard space is helped out by the 5GB of Google Drive cloud storage. An HDMI output can show multimedia content on compatible HDTVs or monitors, while a microSD memory card slot expands storage. A USB port can accommodate flash stick and external hard drives for transferring files and can also house an optional 3G dongle for mobile broadband access.

Preloaded apps include Google's suite of Gmail, Google Talk, Google+, Google Maps, YouTube, and others. The price likely means parents will buy the tablet for their wee ones, so Net Nanny parental controls and CloudLink's Productivity Toolbox programs are also included.

The tablet ships sometime in December, priced at $130 for the 4GB model and $150 for the 8GB model.
