First 3DS XL bundle due to arrive in the US on December 2 for $200

Nintendo is planning on releasing the first limited-edition bundle of its 3DS XL portable gaming console in time for the holiday shopping season in the US. Mario Kart 7 is preloaded onto the console, which will only be available in a blue and black color scheme. The best part is that the kit will cost $200, or $40 less than buying the console and game separately, effectively making the latter free.

The game is preloaded, however, rather than being a physical cartridge, making it impossible to trade in or sell later. The console offers glasses-free 3D viewing of compatible games and videos.

The bundle will reach store shelves on December 2.

For Black Friday, Nintendo offered a 3DS bundle with Super Mario Land 3D preloaded.
