Rugby III launching for $100 on December 14

Today AT&T announced the forthcoming arrival the rugged Samsung Rugby III on its network. The flip phone is the fifth generation device in the Rugby series from Samsung, and it has a feature set beyond its ruggedness that allows business users to communicate quickly to each other and to large groups. The Rugby III will be available on December 14 for $100 with the activation or renewal of a two-year contract.

The Rugby III features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3MP camera, and a dedicated push-to-talk button for easy access. It's built to 810G military specifications, and it is waterproof, dust -proof, and shock resistant, with one-touch access to GPS Navigation through AT&T Navigator.

The Rugby III also features a range of mobile resource management applications from AT&T. These allow businesses and organizations to connect more readily with operators in the field and to monitor locations and activities while responding quickly to developments.

Enhanced PTT capabilities are available for organizations for $5 per month when added to an existing AT&T voice or data plan or for $30 per month for a PTT-only rate plan.
