Surface Pro pricing revealed, January launch

Surface with Windows 8 Pro to start at $899
Microsoft has finally revealed pricing information for the version of its Surface tablet that will run the full Windows 8. The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will launch in January of next year starting at $899. That price will secure customers a 64GB with a Surface Pen and Palm Block technology but without the Surface devices' signature Touch or Type Covers. A 128GB version will also be available for $999 without a Touch or Type Cover.
The Surface Pro has many of the same design principles as the Surface RT. Where that model, though, runs Windows RT, the Surface Pro runs the full version of Windows. It is capable of running legacy Windows applications where the Surface RT is not.
The Surface Pro has an Intel Core i5 processor, a 10.6-nch 16:9 ClearType display outputting at 1920x1080, a full-size USB 3.0 port, and a Mini DisplayPort capable of outputting to an external display at 2560x1440.
