$300 PS Vita includes Unit 13, one-year PS Plus membership
Sony this week announced plans to celebrate bringing the PlayStation Plus subscription service to the PS Vita earlier this month by launching a new bundle. Called the PS Plus Instant Game Collection PS Vita Bundle, it includes a PS Vita 3G Wi-Fi system, a 4GB memory card, a game voucher for Unit 13, and a one-year membership to PS Plus. The bundle represents a savings of more than $99, Sony claims.
The kit arrives sometime next week, though exactly when isn't being revealed.
Those who purchase the bundle but already have a PS Plus subscription will get theirs extended. PS Plus lets users purchase discounted games, get exclusive free demos and trials, as well as access other content. Four free games per month will also be available, with the launch line-up consisting of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Wipeout 2048, and Chronovolt. The Vita will also get 1GB of cloud-based storage space for game saves. On its own, the subscription costs $50 for the year or $18 for three months.
