Five new cards available in revision to product lineup

HighPoint Technologies has announced the availability of their second-generation SATA 4x PCIe six gigabit-per-second storage controllers -- the Rocket and RocketRAID 640L series. Both the RocketRaid and Rocket 600 series have four SATA or eSATA ports in internal, external and hybrid port-configurations, and are capable of supporting point-to-point and port-multiplier based storage devices. All five cards in the 640-series are Windows, Macintosh, and Linux compatible.

The Rocket 640L and 644L cards do not have hardware RAID support, with four internal SATA ports on the 640L and four eSATA ports on the 644L. The Rocket 640L and 644L are both priced at $69.

The RocketRAID 640L has four internal SATA ports, while the RocketRaid 642L is a hybrid card with two internal and two external ports, and the RocketRaid 644L has four eSATA ports. All RocketRAID cards support RAID 0,1,5,10, and JBOD in hardware. All three cards are available now for $99.
