Samsung releases Mobile Beam Mini Projector for the Korean market
Samsung has released the Mobile Beam Mini Projector (EAD-R10) for the Korean market. The device is smaller than a Galaxy S III and is designed to work with smartphones, tablets and PCs. Brightness is listed at 20 lumens, while it also packs a 1650mAh battery to provide up to two hours of projection without an external power source.
The Mobile Beam Projector connects to devices over MHL/HDMI and can reproduce images at a resolution of nHD, or 640x360 pixels. It also includes an HDMI out port, but includes a proprietary 5-pin charging port. Focus is adjusted through an electronic control button, while the device weighs in at just 108 grams.
At this stage, unfortunately, the Samsung Mobile Beam projector looks like it might be for the Korean market only. However, it remains possible that Samsung could make the product available more widely. [via Sam Mobile]
