Richmond, Virginia-based Velocity Micro shipping Edge AIO
Velocity Micro has started shipping its new Edge all-in-onerunning Windows 8. The new PC centers on a 23.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 and is powered by a choice of dual- and quad-core Intel processors. In addition to having its CPU and software designed and manufactured in the US, the Edge AIO, like some of the new iMacs, is also assembled in the US.
The Edge AIO incorporates a 720p front facing video camera and also incorporates the ability to output high definition video to an external source. Additonal I/O includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 3.0, gigabit Ethernet and an SD card slot. A DVD-RW drive is also included, while hard drive options also include SSDs.
The Edge AIO is shipping now, and starts from $799. It ships in white with brushed aluminum accents.
