GOG lineup of classic games hits 72 for Macintosh

GOG (Good Old Games), the DRM-free distributor of classic, indie, and blockbuster games from yesteryear ported to current platforms and available for download, has prepared a special holiday gift for all gamers worldwide. To celebrate the start of the 2012 DRM-free Holiday Sale, Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition is available for free for the next 48 hours, fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 along with Windows 7 and up.

In addition, almost all the games from the GOG.com catalog are 50 percent off, which inludes 72 games for Apple computers. Each day until December 31 a new Daily Deal bundle of games will be featured for up to 75 percent off. The first out of 20 Daily Deals features a set of classics from the legendary game developer Bullfrog Productions. Five games out of eight featured in this bundle are compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer: Theme Hospital, Magic Carpet, Populous, Syndicate, and Dungeon Keeper.
