Two-day shipping, video streaming among perks

Amazon is now offering a free 30-day trial of its Prime service for new customers. All facets of the service are being included in the promotion, such as free two-day shipping for orders, and instant streaming of movies and TV shows. Subscribers can also borrow one free book from the Kindle library each month.

After the trial, the only option for continuing Prime is an annual $79 fee. Instant Video works on many different devices however, ranging from the Kindle Fire, iPhone, and iPad through to the Roku, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. Kindle books can be read on any device with a compatible app, including Mac and Windows systems as well as iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone hardware.
