Samsung blog hints at 'unprecedented new TV shape'

Samsung today continued to build anticipation for the product lines it will unveil at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, showing off a vague image of an apparently translucent television and promising "a true innovation of TV design." The teaser also promises viewers "an unprecedented new TV shape and timeless design," though it gave no other details. The accompanying image appears to show a television set in portrait orientation, one with an apparently thin bezel.

The set looks to be standing upright on a beach, and the image on the screen may be either a tree on the same beach or a tree on a snow-covered landscape.

The post, from the company's Samsung Tomorrow blog, is the second teaser post Samsung has released in the past month. Earlier in December, Samsung released a short video also promising "something new" for CES. By some accounts, CES will mark the unveiling of a redesigned branding effort by Samsung, one meant to establish the company with a global brand identity.
