Pair of new tablets, small computer expected from Velocity Micro

Velocity Micro -- a builder of enthusiast desktops, laptops, peripherals, and Cruz tablets -- has announced several new products to be demoed at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Products newly revealed include the dual core D610 Cruz tablet, quad core Q610 Cruz tablet, and the Edge Mini desktop computer.

Powered by the third-generation Ivy Bridge Intel Core i3 processor, mSATA hard drives, and a full version of Windows 8, the Edge Mini desktop computer is aimed at home theater, home office, and digital signage applications. Configurations start at $499.

Also being shown are the Cruz D610 and Cruz Q610 -- driven by dual-core and quad-core ARM processors respectively. These 10-inch Android 4.1 tablets will be available late in the first quarter of 2013. Prices start at around $200. More details of both the Edge Mini and new Cruz models will be available during the CES.
