Claimed largest Ultra HD OLED TV

Panasonic was among the many tech giants focusing on Ultra HD and OLED display technology this week at CES. While other companies vied for industry records such as largest Ultra HD TV or largest OLED TV, Panasonic claims to have built the world's largest TV that combines both technologies. Electronista took a look at the prototype television on the CES show floor.

All of the Ultra HD and OLED TVs we've seen at CES have been impressive—there have been many—and Panasonic's 56-inch prototype is no exception. The OLED technology presents brilliant colors, and combines with the Ultra HD resolution (also referred to as 4K) for a stunning picture. Despite its prototype status, the TV looks production-ready with an extremely thin bezel overall thickness comparable to LCD TVs already on the market.

Panasonic has been known for maintaining competitive prices, and the company claims its OLED "printing" technology will help it keep prices down.

Panasonic has yet to confirm plans to begin manufacturing the TV.
