T-Mobile makes new product announcements at CES 2013
T-Mobile has partnered with MLB in a multi-million dollar deal. T-Mobile will provide MLB with an on-field communication system powered by its 4G network. Among other uses, the first use will be to allow managers to communicate with coaches in dugouts.
In other CES announcements, T-Mobile has introduced a new unlimited nationwide 4G data plan with no contract plan for 4G monthly customers. Each month, the first 5GB of data will be delivered at 4G speeds, which when reached will be throttled, but with no data caps or overages. It has also upgraded its network to support HD voice calls for devices that support it.
T-Mobile also announced a new program it calls 4G Connect. It has partnered with HP and Dell in order to deliver 4G connectivity from notebooks, ultrabooks and tablets out of the box utilizing Qualcomm tech. Users can expect to receive up to 200MB a month, with data varying according to device.
