Mid-range Samsung ATIV Odyssey gets January 24 debut on Verizon

The previously leaked Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone 8 smartphone has been pegged for a January 24 launch on Verizon. Although appearing similar to the flagship 4.8-inch ATIV S, the ATIV Odyssey will sit beneath that handset with a 4-inch display. It will carry a 4G LTE radio, along with standard Windows Phone 8 specifications.

Performance should be soild, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz matched with 1GB of RAM. To help give it decent battery life, Samsung has incorporated a 2100mAh battery that is also removable, making it well suited for business users.

On board storage has yet to be specified, although it includes microSD card support for cards up to 64GB. In line with its mid-range internals, the ATIV Odyssey carries a 5-megapixel camera on the rear that includes an LED flash. [via Slashgear]
