Google Nexus 4 in white leaked ahead of launch

A white version of Google's popular LG-manufactured Nexus 4 smartphone has surfaced thanks to an anonymous Phone Arena source. The device had previously been rumored to arrive late last year, but has not materialized until now. LG has had trouble matching supply with demand for the original black model, which could explain why it has been delayed.

The Nexus 4 is LG's first bonafide smartphone hit, and has routinely been unavailable through Google, wherever it has been launched. The device is based on LG's own Optimus G, although Google disappointed a lot of customers when it opted to make the device 3G-only in order to enhance its network compatibility world-wide. Storage options on the device are also limited to 8GB or 16GB, with no option to supplement this with microSD cards.

The Nexus 4 centers on a 4.7-inch IPS display with a 720p resolution and pixel density of 320ppi. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. While it may lack 4G support, it is fitted with a still fast HSPA+ 42 3G radio. The Nexus 4 includes NFC and also features wireless charging. As with all Nexus devices, it runs a clean install of Android, in this case Android 4.2 'Jelly Bean.'
