Fujitsu unveils new Lifebooks, Esprimo AIOs, Arrows tablet

updated 10:44 am EST, Fri February 1, 2013

Touchscreens include fingerprint-resistant coating

Fujitsu is preparing to sell some new additions to its mobile computing and stationary computer catalog. The Arrows Tab is a water-resistant Android tablet, two new Lifebooks offer fingerprint-resistant screens, while the Esprimo range includes new all-in-one computers with built-in television recievers and DVR functions.

The Arrows Tab Wi-Fi FAR70B runs on Android 4.0, and is powered by a quad-core Tegra3 processor. The IPS 1920x1200-resolution display is powered by a 10,080mAh battery, an improvement on the predecessor's 6,560mAh battery, and its fast charging facility allows it to go from empty to 1,770mAh within 30 minutes. It also has IP5X dust resistance, IPX5/8 water resistance, and a fingerprint sensor used to secure and unlock the device.

The two new Lifebook AH notebooks will have touch-enabled 15.6-inch displays for Windows 8 control, complete with a Sara-Sara coating that is said to reduce fingerprints. Both the AH77/K and AH56/K will have a larger touchpad, with the AH77/K also receiving hard drive protection, Pioneer speakers, and a battery claimed to last for 6.3 hours. The notebooks will be powered by Core i7 processors with 8GB of RAM.

For the all-in-one models, the Esprimo FH series will have 2.4GHz Core i7 processors supported by 8GB of RAM, with the FH54/KD also receiving TV viewing and recording capabilities. The new 21.5-inch models will have a 1920x1080 touch-enabled display, as well as a wireless touchpad that will mimic the touchscreen controls from a distance. The Esprimo EH will have a smaller 20-inch 1600x900-resolution display, powered by an AMD-E2-1800 processor with 4GB of RAM, and also retaining the television-viewing functionality. The new models will have Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013 preinstalled, while the My Cloud hybrid cloud service that syncs cloud storage with local versions will only be available in Japan.

The Esprimo FH and EH models will go on sale on February 7th, while the Lifebooks, in Urban White and Ruby Red, and Arrows Tab will go on the market on February 15th. A Shiny Black version of the Lifebook AH56/K will go on sale on February 27th. Pricing has yet to be revealed.
