No availability pricing on pair of Android 4.1 phones

Samsung today unveiled two new smartphones -- the Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame. Both handsets are driven by a 1GHz as-yet unnamed processor, and run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The phones are aimed at the entry-level consumer, and Samsung calls them "ideal for the younger, stylish generation."

The Galaxy Young sports a 3.27-inch HVGA resolution screen, with a 3MP camera on the back of the camera. It has 768MB of RAM, with 4GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card. A 1,300 mAh Li-ion powers the phone. Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n provide input and output for the phone.

The Galaxy Fame is a slight upgrade to the Galaxy Young, in a slightly larger form factor. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA resolution screen, with a 5MP rear-mounted camera, and a front-facing VGA camera. Connectivity is Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, with the addition of near-field communication (NFC) capability as well. As with the Young, the Fame has 4GB of storage, with microSD expansion, but only 512MB of RAM.

Both phones will be available in the UK in March of 2013. No information on pricing, carriers, or availability in other countries is available.
