Vodafone launches Windows Phone 8 collection in UK

Five Nokia, HTC handsets with WP8 go on sale

British carrier Vodafone has started to offer a number of Windows Phone 8 devices on it's network in the United Kingdom. The Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820, and Lumia 620 is joined by the HTC 8X and 8s for the carrier's WP8 launch, with only the Samsung Ativ S making a notable absence from the device roster.

The collection of smartphones, as claimed to be supported by the network in a blog post in October, covers a wide breadth of customer types. The Next Web notes that the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X covers the high-end market, with other devices filling in the gaps lower down the pricing ladder. Vodafone does appear to be slow in adding WP8 smartphones to it's catalog compared to other UK carriers, with Three offering four of the handsets, O2 supporting three plus the Ativ S, and 4G network EE offering the Lumia 920 and 820 only, but it makes up for it's delay in having the widest choice of phones using the mobile operating system.

The Nokia Lumia 920 will cost £42 ($66) per month, the Lumia 820 and HTC 8X at £33 ($52) per month, and the HTC 8S at £21 ($33) per month.
