Sony NEX-3N leaked ahead of official launch
The Sony NEX-3N has made an unofficial early appearance thanks to a Sony Alpha Rumors anonymous source. The site has proven reliable in the past, leaking what would be the NEX-3N predecessor, the NEX-F3 , around a month before it was officially released. Although the site isn’t completely sure when it will debut, it suggests that it could make an appearance at the same event that Sony is expected to unveil its PlayStation 4 console on February 20.
Short on specific technical details, it is claimed that the NEX-3N will use the same 16-megapixel sensor as NEX-F3 and will include Sony’s new electronic zoom function, which would be a first for the successful NEX mirrorless camera product line. It would be capable of driving Sony 16-50mm PZ and 18-200mm PZ lenses. An integrated flash remains part of the equation, however, NEX-3N users won’t have the ability to add a more powerful flash or a quality mic for video recording purposes.
