Widget brings miniature Google Now cards to home screen

Google could be adding a widget dedicated to Google Now to Android in the future, in an effort to improve the user experience. The widget would in theory display the most important information that the user would require from the home screen instead of through notifications or requiring to open up the Google Now app itself.

An image appearing on Google's own support site has since been removed, but was picked up by Android Central before the company realized it's mistake. The supporting documentation explained you could put the widget on the home screen, and by clicking specific miniature cards in the widget, it would open up the full card in Google Now itself.

There was no mention of when it would become available to users, nor if it would be a Google Play update or part of a future OS upgrade. It is also possible that Google will bring Google Now to Chrome at the same time as the widget is released.
