Allows tracking, funding of Kickstarter projects

Crowd-funding service Kickstarter has launched its first iOS app, currently only for the iPhone and iPod touch. For the general public, the title lets users find new projects, track existing ones, and commit pledges. People can also watch project videos, and receive updates from friends.

Project owners can keep in contact with backers, monitor funding status, and post updates. The Kickstarter app is a free download, and runs on devices with iOS 5 or better.
