Android 4.2.2 factory image available for download
Google has posted the factory image of Android 4.2.2 for Nexus devices. The availability of the factory ROM for download follows the arrival of the patch over-the-air for Nexus users last week. Although the update has not reached all users with the staggered global rollout of the patch, users with sufficient experience can manually flash the new ROM with the availability of the download.
The Android 4.2.2 update brings with it a raft of unspecified stability and speed enhancements. Although Google has yet to formally publish the changelog for the update, users have reported a number of other tweaks as well. Among the changes spotted by Android Police so far are Bluetooth bug fixes, a more secure ABD and a count-down to finish for downloads from the Play Store. Further, long pressing the Wi-Fi and BT soft buttons toggles the functions in the notification Quick Settings.
