HTC offers $100 bonus for trade-up to a HTC One in Canada

HTC is offering potential customers a $100 incentive to buy the newly-launched HTC One in Canada. A page on the company's Canadian site allows users to preregister for the smartphone, and then after buying the HTC One, can send their old handset and proof of purchase for the new device to HTC. Successful participants will receive a prepaid Visa card loaded with either $100 or the trade-in value of the old phone, whichever is greater.

Samsung releases first teaser for Galaxy S 4 reveal

Samsung is teasing the reveal of its new flagship phone through the release of a trailer. The YouTube video shows a child being tasked with guarding a large white box covered with Samsung Unpacked event logos, which also emits light when opened. The launch event, to be held in New York on March 14th, will be as important as when "TVs went color," according to the video, and will see the Galaxy S 4 being shown to press and members of the public for the first time. Current rumors suggest that it will have a 4.99-inch HD SoLux display, use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor running at 1.9GHz, and will offer storage as high as 64GB.
