IRIScan Mouse provides easy access to powerful OCR processing
OCR developer IRIS has announced the availability of the IRIScan Mouse, an all-in-one mouse scanner with OCR technology. The USB 2.0 device, when coupled with the software, seamlessly stitches the image together in real time. The stitched image is then evaluated, and any discovered text is converted into editable documents for use with standard word-processing applications.
Users imply click on the scan button, swipe the mouse in any direction on the paper document and the text and images will appear instantaneously on the computer screen. The software will stich the image together, with the included OCR software converting any text on the scanned image.
The ergonomically-designed mouse is now available for $79 at the IRIS website. Wider retail availability is expected by the end of the spring.
