Data-only version of Mobile Share also being introduced

AT&T is updating its shared data plans for business and consumer customers, with three new tiers offering larger data allowances. Expanding from its existing Mobile Share packages, companies can now get a data allowance of 30GB, 40GB, or 50GB to share between devices, along with the unlimited text messages and unlimited talk-time the smaller allocations offer.

The 30GB, 40GB, and 50GB costs $300, $400, and $500 per month respectively, with additional data charged at $15 per gigabyte. The new plans also carry a $30 surcharge for every smartphone, $20 per notebook, and $10 per tablet included in the account.

Versions of the Mobile Share plans that consist of the data allowance without calls or texts will also be open for businesses and consumers to use, under the name Mobile Share - Data. The "shared data buckets" aimed at data-only devices such as tablets will range from 4GB to 50GB, at a cost of between $30 and $335 per month.

The new plans for both Mobile Share and Mobile Share – Data will be available from March 22nd.
