Mystery Canon DSLR briefly appears on Best Buy website

EOS-b has 18MP sensor, EF-S 18-55mm lens, $800 pricetag

A previously-unannounced camera from Canon appeared on the Best Buy website, shortly before being taken down. The listing on the retail site described a camera as an EOS-b 18-megapixel digital SLR, combined with an EF-S 18-55mm zoom lens, and that it was available for pre-order at a cost of $800.

The page itself did not show any images of the camera itself, reports Engadget, with the lens, sensor size and price tag being the only real details being offered. Canon Rumors believes the camera to be called the EOS 100D and weigh 5 ounces lighter than the Rebel T4i. It is also suggested that the Canon camera would have a 9-point AF system with dual-cross f/2.8 center-point, face-detection autofocus, an ISO range from 100 to 25,600, 3-inch touchscreen, a 4-fps burst shot mode, and the ability to record HD video.

Sources of Canon Rumors claim that two new EOS cameras would be announced on either the 21st or 22nd of March, one of which would include the leaked camera.
