Event likely discussing new API, advertising guidance
An open invitation to an April 2 Twitter developer event is circulating as of Monday, the company says. The event is to be mobile-focused, and take place at the Twitter headquarters at 6:30PM, lasting for two and a half hours. The event will discuss how developers can "best integrate Twitter into your mobile experience," according to the blog post announcing the event.
The gathering is likely to discuss the impending discontinuation of Twitter API v1, and the commencement of the advertising API, which allows companies to run advertising through partners rather than through Twitter itself. The event is listed as being "closed to press."
