Nexus 10 gets Book Cover accessory 6 months after Nexus 10 launch

Google has added the first official accessory for its Nexus 10 tablet, some six months after its October launch. The new Nexus 10 Book Cover attaches to the rear side of the device and offers protection to the front of the device only. It is the latest in a line of Nexus accessories to debut months after its companion device first went on sale, while an official dock for the Nexus 10 previously depicted is still to yet go on sale.

"Designed specifically for the Nexus 10, the Book Cover attaches directly to your device for an ultra-slim fit. With rounded corners and a matte finish, this thin, durable cover protects the screen without adding bulk," reads the Google blurb for the new Nexus 10 cover. "Open the stylish Book Cover to automatically wake your Nexus 10; close it to put your device to sleep," the company adds.

The official Nexus 4 wireless charging orb was scarcer than the Nexus 4 itself. The Nexus 4 arrived in late October, before being frequently unavailable for several months after its launch, while the Nexus 4 charging orb finally reached US and Canadian customers around four months after the device first shipped. Similarly, the official Nexus 7 charging dock first became available for sale over six months after the Nexus 7 first shipped to customers. [via Droid Life]
