Schneider iPro Lens System gets Series 2 upgrades

Schneider has revealed its iPro Series 2 lenses for iPhone. The lenses work with its iPro Lens System, which includes cases compatible with the Apple iPhone 4, 4S and separately for the iPhone 5. There are five new lenses in the series, including a new super-wide 0.45x and a macro lens. These join redesigned fisheye, wideangle and 2x telephoto lenses.

Each component in the Schneider iPro system is sold separately. The iPhone case can be fitted with the option to have its handle attached to either the left or right hand side of the iPhone. The handle doubles to store lenses, while also allowing the iPro system to attach to any tripod.

Schneider uses precision-machined aluminum alloy that has been anodized for additional durability. The company says that each element is ground and polished from high-grade optical glass, which they then also paint on the edge and coat with a multilayer antireflection treatment to minimize lens flare.

The new Schneider iPro Series 2 lenses will be available in May. [via Cult of Mac]
