XTRM to have rugged construction, Elite has 4G LTE connectivity
Kyocera is looking to release two new phones in the United States, according to a leaked image. The Kyocera Elite is reportedly said to be heading to Verizon, while the Kyocera XTRM will appear on US Cellular in the near future, though details relating to specifications, release dates and prices remain unknown.
The images, leaked through the @evleaks Twitter account, appear to be relatively normal smartphones compared to previous releases, such as the waterproof Kyocera Hydro, the ruggedized Kyocera DuraXT flip phone on Sprint. And the touchscreen Kyocera Rise with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.
Despite the lack of specifics, Phone Arena notes that the back of the Elite has a logo denoting it has 4G LTE connectivity as well as Android for its OS, while the XTRM is believed to be a mid-ranged Android smartphone with some rugged characteristics.
